Site Facts
Nigeria is the chosen country, as it has the most crisis intersections, giving a chance for designing a prototype solution that will target most of them and fit any site. Gagarawa village is the chosen province in Jigawa state. A rural area threatened by many climatic catastrophes. Site is almost flat with less than 1 metre difference on X-Y ranges. Study section about 38*45 m2, with maximum elevation loss 1 m
Nigeria is well known for its culture, colorful schemes & patterns which were used in design process, crafts like pottery, weaving & others, and for sure agriculture, based on them the outdoor cluster design.

Master Plan Facts
Total site surface area: 33*33 sq.m.
Cluster grid unit: 11*11 sq.m.
Unit surface area varies from: 59 to 62 sq.m.

Conceptual Form Generation
Meiotic Division "Meiosis"
Meiosis division in biology, is when a mother cell is divided into 4 entities from the origin of it.

The centifugal extension, is the spread system of the cluster, it’s like matrix, with flexible design & landscape design that can be extended with the same central & mother cell concept, in all directions, preserving its conceptual & functional features.

Cluster Expansion Ideation
The main idea is to let the northern prevailing winds always pass across clusters, hence distributed in that order. units are emerged from the central mother unit, the whole cluster is attachable from both sides for centrifugal extension, and will still provide the continous NS cross ventilation.

Structure Exploded Diagram
1. Adobe bricks & clay render for walls, reinforced with bamboo columns, and fenced with palm fronds.
2. Bamboo thick sticks, each 4 tied firmly, to make a stiff column, tension resistant, with timber frame as layers chassis.
3. Teak timber bars as reinforcement base.
4. Straw bales compacted as padding to the timber reinforcement frames, roof insulation against heat & sound proof.
5. Bamboo space truss, with one metre maximum height to pass prevailing wind, heat insulation, double roof for passive cooling.
6. Timber sheets as cover to the truss, coated to resist rust, ease of rainwater harvesting .
7. Thatched roof for extra insulation and durability for the whole structure, recycled material.

Environmental Study Model & Targeted SDGs to Each Designed System
Thermal insulation, air flow path of max height 1 m • Insulative coating on timber sheet on roof • Double roof structure • Rainwater harvesting • Natural drainage system, using stones • Gray water pipes • Gray water treatment • Reuse tank (filtered) • Irrigation manual pump pipes • Irrigation sprinklers • Carbon sink • Organic waste recycle (composting) • Carbon sink • Prevailing Northern winds, cross ventilation • Vegetation patch (Environmental cluster) • Crafts patch (Economic cluster) • Commercial patch (Economic cluster)
